Making Masks Earns Boy Scouts Commemorative Badge

Members of Boy Scout Troop 123 assisted Hempstead Town Supervisor Donald Clavin and Town Councilman Christopher Carini in creating masks for
front line workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Th e Boy and Girl Scouts of America were supplied materials by the Town of Hempstead to make masks earning a commemorative badge from the Town.

Councilman Carini said, “It was a honor to present the commemorative badges to these young scouts who continue to give back to our friends and neighbors here in the Town of Hempstead. Thank you for your commitment.” Christopher Clement, Gus Bresnaider, Kyle Berberich and Declan Cody were recognized for their eff orts on October 23 at the Sacred Heart Church in Merrick.
