Superintendent Dr. Famularo Gives Back-to-School Message
The administration and faculty have once again welcomed our Bellmore Stars back to the classroom to “Lead and Learn.”
We remain steadfast in our vision to be a “Community of Learners” with the goal of helping each child reach his/her potential in all academic areas. Our academic program continues to center on universal leadership principles and shared core values, fostering the social-emotional development of all of our students and encouraging them to be Bellmore Stars.
Last March, Franklin Covey Education conferred Lighthouse status on the district, an honor granted to only two districts worldwide. This recognition was earned as a result of the development, training and consistent practice of the district’s leadership principles and core values. All three of our schools were awarded Lighthouse status as well. It is truly exciting when our community comes together to reach a common goal and to help our students fulfill their mission to “Lead and Learn.”
Facilities strongly affect students’ learning environment. Over the summer, the district continued many facility projects as our Star Polisher staff prepared for the new school year. On behalf of our Board of Education and the entire Bellmore Star Staff, we are inspiring our Bellmore Star Students to lead and learn. I look forward to seeing you a the Parent-Teachers night !
