Old friendships were renewed at a multi-class JFK Alumni reunion at Tropix in Freeport, as everyone reacted as though they had just seen one another yesterday. Smiles and emotions lit up the room as everyone shared childhood stories and told each other about their present lives.
Everyone realized that these childhood friendships are among the most important relationships they have, other than family. As kids, no one cared if your house was bigger, your car was more expensive or where you bought your clothes. What all learned is that your high school friends remain your friends, plain and simple. The Class of 1971 had the largest turnout with about 15 people from that year.
