Nassau County police report the details of an arrest for grand larceny that occurred in Uniondale and Merrick during the summer and fall of 2016.
According to Crimes Against Property Squad detectives, on Tuesday, August 15, 2016 Victor X. Franco, 23, of Uniondale, entered Alicia MultiServices at 457 Jerusalem Avenue, Uniondale, and purchased a cell phone, valued at $243, with a fraudulent credit card. On Monday, November 20, the defendant entered The Puppy Store at 1163 Merrick Avenue in Merrick, and purchased a dog for $3,592.21, using a fraudulent credit card. On both occasions the defendant also displayed a fraudulent driver’s license.
On Tuesday, January 17, Franco was placed under arrest and is being charged with Grand Larceny Third Degree, four counts of Possession Forged Instrument Second Degree and Identity Theft First Degree.
