Arrested in Bellmore Assaults, Burglary

Nassau police have arrested two people in connection with a burglary and assault that happened in Bellmore on Saturday, November 26, at 6:15 p.m.

According to Seventh Squad detectives, Lauren Morales, 28 and Nicholas Laurenti, 20 both of 59 Smith Street, Hicksville, entered the garage of a home on Lakeview Road where two males, ages 19 and 17, were playing video games. The two suspects were accompanied by two additional unidentified white males who have not yet apprehended.


The four suspects began punching, kicking and hitting the victims in the house with an aluminum bat to the face, head and body. The four then fled the home in an unknown direction. The victims suffered contusion to the face and pain to their legs, but refused medical attention at the scene.

Morales was placed under arrest on Monday, November 28, at 8:50 p.m. in Baldwin.  Laurenti surrendered to detectives at the Seventh Precinct on Monday, November 29, at 12:02 a.m. in Seaford.

Both are charged with Burglary and Assault.
