Bellmore Fair Coming September 17-18

The 30th Annual Bellmore Family Street Festival will come to Bellmore on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18, with the carnival starting on Thursday evening, September 15, and running continuously throughout. The fair is presented by the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores and sponsored by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, Nassau County Police Department, Supervisor Anthony J. Santino and the Town of Hempstead, News 12, K-98.3, 103.1 MAX FM, 94.3 The Shark, Walk 97.5 and Stop & Shop.

This year, the festival has added a “Zip-line” and a Gorilla Show. In addition, there will be the Kids Expo – featuring child friendly rides and a chance to visit Rex the Dinosaur and Nature Nick with his live kangaroo; a Craft Expo, featuring only hand-crafted vendors, a huge Military Expo featuring the latest military attractions from all branches of the military, Veteran’s organizations, and service groups; the Sports Expo featuring representation from local and tri-state sports organizations; and Health and Wellness members, who can be found throughout the festival. In addition, flu shots will also be available.

The Long Island Blood Services Bloodmobile will also be available to receive lifesaving blood donations (Saturday only). The Home Improvement Expo showcases our local contractors and members providing helpful ways to improve your home. Add Live music all day long and this is one festival not to be missed.

The Bellmore Family Street Festival is also an excellent opportunity for our local non-profit groups to raise funds and share important information. The local businesses are the important backbone that supports our community, its schools, its services and its taxes.
