Man Arrested for Multiple Burglaries

Nassau County police announce the arrest of a major suspect in several robberies in the Bellmore and Merrick communities beginning Sunday, June 5 through Monday, June 6.

According to detectives in The Major Case Bureau, defendant Jerrod Rollerson, 27, of 107 Booth St., Hempsteadwas armed with a handgun and entered the below listed locations demanding money:

  •  Sunday 06/05/16 at 9:53 P.M. – Valero Gas Station 207 Sunrise Hwy., Bellmore
  • Monday 06/06/16 at 4:30 A.M. – Valero Gas Station  207 Sunrise Hwy., Bellmore
  • Monday 06/06/16 at 4:45 A.M. – BP Gas Station  2425 Merrick Rd.,  Bellmore
  • Monday 06/06/16 at 4:58 A.M. – 711 Store 150 Merrick Rd., Merrick

Proceeds were an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

No injuries were reported.

Seventh Precinct police officers located the defendant on Harvard Avenue in Merrick, shortly after, where he was placed under arrest.  The defendant was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun at the time of his arrest.  Charges are pending.
